Emotions and illnesses

This is not a new concept, but the article caught my eyes because I have read several books by the author. In my humble opinion, he has excellent points.

  1. I like the description of the pitfalls of being too positive or denying negative feelings.
I am finding the benefit of being with those and allowing them to pass through me. I hear too much even today from people to push those aside and get back to feeling fierce. What a lost opportunity to really grow into a truly compassionate being.

  2. I’ll tell you what, I’m happy to be the monkey in his wrench. My childhood was badass and I still ended up a worthless drunk. I had it all. Good looks, great home, married and loving parents… Norman Rockwell could have kissed my ass!

Anymore, it doesn’t matter why I drank. I turned into a drunk either way. What’s important in why I choose NOT to drink. 😆
